With regards to the article posted online Wednesday evening via the Portsmouth News, Long and Marshall would like to re-assure all our customers and suppliers that we are in no way near the position the article portrayed. We were not given the opportunity to proof read this article before publishing and if we were, it would not have gone out.
We are quiet as are many companies but trading as normal and here to stay.
Well almost …. The team here are delighted to announce we sailed through the AS 9100 transition Audit with just one minor non-conformance which is easily closed off.
The changes between Rev C and Rev D are substantial and the auditor was very impressed with our updated procedures and our general engagement with the detail & structure of the new requirements.
Formal certification is still a few months away due to the backlog of companies embracing the new standard, but we are very proud to be in the vanguard of engineering businesses offering 5-Axis CNC Milling and Multi Spindle Turning services who will be able to offer this high level of certification, to Rev D, just as soon as the certificate arrives.
